A Unique Gem with a Rich History

Floating G.O.A.T. is more than just a venue—it is a living piece of Copenhagen’s history. Originally launched in 1959 as the Schilksee, the ferry underwent a meticulous renovation in 2024, seamlessly blending its historical soul with modern comfort and state-of-the-art facilities. We offer a unique setting for unforgettable experiences, from corporate events and private celebrations to memorable overnight stays.

From ‘Liquor Line’ to Modern Meeting Place

Floating G.O.A.T., originally named Arno II, has a rich and captivating history. Constructed in 1959 to service the Flensburg Fjord “booze cruise” line, its architecture bears the hallmarks of this purpose, most notably in the low-slung salon windows designed to provide sweeping views over the water. Throughout the decades, it has functioned as a houseboat, a design studio, and today—a beautifully restored gathering space that retains its maritime soul while delivering top-tier modern amenities.

Floating G.O.A.T. is the passion project of Copenhagen couple Kate Mark Balslev and Andreas Mark, whose shared love for the waterfront inspired the venture. The idea was born on their wedding day when they spotted a “For Sale” sign on a historic ferry.

Kate relies on her background in learning and development to design engaging, creative experiences, while Andreas brings his business expertise to shape the strategy.

Together, they’ve made Floating G.O.A.T. a vibrant local hub at Islands Brygge and can’t wait to welcome you aboard.
